The Astros finally broke their 6 game losing streak by beating the Dodgers 4-2 tonight. Wandy Rodriguez, the very obscure 3rd starter for the Astros won his 5th game, he is now 5-1. This guy came out of nowhere last year for the 'Stros, starting in the second half of the season for Brandon Backe, who was injured. Wandy even pitched a game in the NLCS. I didn't expect much from him this year, but he has, with the exception of Roy O, been the most consistent starter for the Astros. He has only had 1 bad outing, when he got roughed up by the Rockies in Colorado, which can happen to anyone. Other than that, he has been fantastic. I reccomended earlier that he would be a great fantasy pickup if you needed a 3rd or 4th guy and I think he is going to continue to be productive throughout the year, especially when Brandon Backe returns from his injury and if we manage to pull in Clemens. Those additions would take even more pressure off of Wandy, allowing him to continue to develop.

Good post. I'm thinking about picking up Wandy as my 4th starter.
