Peter Abrahams discusses Jeter leading off this year. He says it makes sense b/c Jeter has become more of a singles hitter and Damon will be motivated by because this is his walk year. If they stick with alternating R and L handed hitters, does this mean Girardi is willing to have Rodriguez bat third when he returns?

Jeter and Damon's OBP's are pretty much interchangeable, it seems, so because Damon has more pop in his bat, this isn't a bad idea at all... I think Joe would still want Arod batting cleanup... but that's just me...
